About

Vista Alegre, a Portuguese brand of high-quality porcelain, lead crystal, and innovative lighting, recognized as one of the leading tableware and giftware brands in the world.

We have a deep heritage, our original porcelain’s factory was established in 1824 in Ílhavo, Aveiro, and has continued to be integral to Portuguese culture and history, while also acquiring a unique universal reputation and maintaining our status globally as a luxury insignia. Each year we develop new products of the highest quality, collaborating with renowned artists across the globe. Contemporary designers and artists in the realms of fashion, painting, sculpture, architecture, and literature have lent their talent to our products, enabling the constant development of breathtaking and original creations.

Jaime Hayon, Ross Lovegrove, Marcel Wanders, Coline le Corre, Siza Vieira, Joana Vasconcelos, Patrick Norguet, Malangatana, Sempé, Karim Rashid, Brunno Jahara, Carsten Gollnick, Sam Baron, Oscar de la Renta, Pineda Covalin and the French Fashion House Christian Lacroix are some of the many artists who we have collaborated with. Our work has been awarded by top international design awards such as Red Dot, Wallpaper*, German Design Awards and Good Design Award, thereby demonstrating year after year our capacity of reinventing ourselves.

In 2018, we were honored with a total of twenty-eight design awards and distinctions including sixteen 2019 German Design Awards in which Vista Alegre was given five award wins, five special mentions and six nominations. Among other awards, we conquered three 2018 European Product Design awards, three 2018 Good Design awards, three Iconic awards and a 2019 Red Dot Design Award. Each award-winning or nominated piece presents its artistic conception, yet all of them are characterized by the elegance and savoir-faire of the Portuguese know-how. Vista Alegre’s products are officially used by the Portuguese President, the White House, and several Royal Houses, such as Queen Elizabeth II, King Filipe of Spain, and Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. We also supply official tableware for several embassies all across the world, namely Brazil, Spain, and Morocco, as well as for national and foreign public or private institutions.
